Welcome to 12 Months! 🎉 These are the rules for using our app. We’ve kept them short and fair.

The service is operated by Codan Creative AB, Sweden (organisation number 559149-3498). Our website is 12monthsapp.com. Contact us at hello@12monthsapp.com.

📖What 12 Months Does

12 Months helps you create a digital baby book for your child’s first year. You can add photos, milestones, and growth measurements, and invite family members to view or contribute.

👤Your Account

• You need to be 18 or older to create an account and have the authority to add and share information about the child or other people in your books
• Use an email you control and verify it to use protected book and sharing features
• Keep your password, trusted devices and recovery code safe, and tell us promptly if your account is compromised

📸Your Content

You keep your rights in the content you add. You give us the limited permission needed to store, transmit and display it to you and the people you authorise, subject to other people’s rights. We do not take ownership or use your baby-book content for our marketing or AI training. Our Privacy Policy explains the separate handling of personal data.

Please don’t upload:

• Content you don’t have rights to share
• Anything illegal or harmful
• Child sexual abuse material or other exploitative content. We may restrict access and report content or conduct when legally required; we do not routinely read encrypted baby-book content

👨‍👩‍👧Inviting Family

• You can invite a Contributor, who can add and edit content and manage book access, or a Viewer, who can view and export shared content
• Invitations expire and each link can be accepted once. Keep links private: someone you forward a link to may be able to accept it
• Contributors can change or remove book access using the app’s controls
• You’re responsible for who you invite—make sure they’ll respect the content

People with access can save or export content. Removing their access does not recall those copies or keys they already held. Keep a trusted device or a protected recovery code so you can restore access to your encrypted memories.

Book memory text, optional weight and length entries, memory photos and baby profile photos are encrypted on authorised devices. Account details, book metadata, account-profile photos and support content are not protected by that book encryption. The service is a family memory book, not a medical or diagnostic service. We cannot restore encrypted content without an authorised device or the required recovery material.

💰Pricing

The app is currently free. If we offer paid features later, we will explain the price and applicable purchase terms before you choose to buy. These Terms do not authorise an automatic charge or subscription.

🗑️Deleting Your Account

• You can delete your account anytime in Settings
• You can choose a 30-day cancellation period or begin permanent deletion immediately; both options lock access when submitted
• Scheduled cleanup and provider retries remove active-service data after it becomes due. Shared books with another Contributor, contributions retained in those books and previously exported copies may remain
• Restricted backup and soft-delete recovery copies expire separately, as described in our Privacy Policy

⚠️When We Might Remove Access

We may suspend accounts that:

• Upload prohibited content
• Try to hack or abuse the service
• Violate these terms

Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you a way to contact us about a restriction or request an export. Urgent safety, security or legal action may require immediate restrictions.

Availability and Your Legal Rights

We aim to keep the app reliable, but maintenance, outages and device or network problems can interrupt access. Keep appropriate exports and your recovery material safe. If something is wrong with the service, contact us so we can help.

🔄Changes to These Terms

We will provide appropriate notice of material changes and explain when they take effect. Where agreement is required, we will ask for it; merely changing this page does not supply consent for unrelated processing. You can stop using the service and request account deletion if you do not wish to continue, without losing rights that already apply.
